from their webpage under instruments is this..."stringed instrument of Russian origin, with a characteristic triangular body & 3 strings...this particular contrabass balalaika has become Katzenjammer's mascot. His name is Borge & he is named after a famous, Norwegian TV host, Dan Borge Akero. Borge has recently gotten a brother, named Akero."
